20k Leveling

I know I know, a gold guide, I too am not always fond of them. However! Markco is an awesome guy, and I have followed his posts for a long time now, along with daily reading of his forums at http://20kleveling.com/JMTCforums

That is Just my Two Copper Forums for those strange folks out there who have yet to hear of it. One thing that sets this gold guide aside from others I have seen, is that it offers things that go beyond the basic "hey, buy low sell high, have fun." It can also be used by brand new players, as it shows you ways to make gold while you level up (20kleveling, get it now?) I have seen many gold guides, even tried a few, and not that I am implying in any way that they don't work, the information is just very basic, stuff that any experienced player should know already, I am very fond of the 20k leveling idea, I enjoy leveling alts very much, and to be able to make so much gold while doing something I enjoy is great.

Anyway, if you aren't happy with the guide, you can return it for a full refund, no risk, awesome guide, awesome guide writer, check it out.

Cataclysm Approaches!

I have been doing lots and lots of mining recently, over 6 hours worth yesterday, and I have gotten bored of the regular Wintergrasp route, and sick and tired of botters. So I decided to check out the prices of some herbs, skins, and ores that I could gather that have jumped in price due to low supply. I discovered that things like Khorium, and Iron are selling very well right now as far as mining goes, and any herbs not found in Northrend are terrifyingly overpriced, but people will still buy them, allowing for HUGE profits.

Some of you may be thinking, Aggorof you darn Cow, quit dragging on and tell us what to do to make moneyz, well fine I will! Check the prices of low level herbs on your server (I suggest looking at Kingsblood, Khadgar's Whisker, and Plaguebloom, but do not only look at those, they just seem to be the biggest money makers on my server)

One of the beauties of picking these low level herbs, is that you can get your herbalism to the level for picking them within a few hours easily, meaning if you are a lower level, or do not have the profession, you can get to the level quickly and easily, and make gold on the way.

Alright now for you miners out there, again, check out the prices of these low-mid level ores (Truesilver, Mithril, Iron, and Khorium are the ones I find the best money in) and hop on that dusty old mount of yours that can't fly, and wander around the areas of Azeroth you have not visited in a long time, and mine and pick, and mine, and pick, mail mined and picked items, and continue to mine and pick.

This offers large amounts of money for many reasons, with Cataclysm approaching, people are holding off on leveling brand new alts because of the changes to be brought in Cataclysm they want to see, so not many players leveling through these old zones are there to pick herbs, mine, and keep supply up. Also because of the approach of Cataclysm, lazy folks with plenty of gold will be power leveling professions before, or on launch of the expansion, so you really want to put yourself in the position of being the main supplier to these people.

Good luck and may the heavens rain gold down upon you (or the auction house, either way is fine)

Late Weekend Post

It's the weekend, out come the drinks, and down sit the lazy folks like me planning to spend it playing WoW.

So what am I getting at? Well, each weekend as most of you probably know, there is a selected battleground that for the duration of Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday offers more experience and honor.

What this means for you 80s sick of the daily grind, farming and mining or however it is you gather, take this opportunity to make piles of cash, without the usual boring gathering. The first random battleground, or call to arms battleground you win each day, rewards you with 25 arena points, and approximately 3700 honor. For every 10,000 honor you get, you are able to purchase one uncut epic gem of any kind. Now, if your faction is winning battleground, you can really pull in a lot. On my server, there are certain cut red gems that sell for upwards of 160-170g, to get 10,000 honor takes a mere 1-3 battlegrounds, and if your faction is winning, and winning fast, you can easily reach the honor cap plus some in a day while having some fun in PvP. So, say you hit the honor cap of 75,000 honor, that is enough to pick up 7 gems, on my server, I would get 7 Cardinal Rubies, have a guildie cut them into Fractured Cardinal Rubies, and sell them for 160g each. 160 x 7 = 1120g! Reaching the honor cap really doesn't take all that long, and the time flies by if you enjoy PvP like I do.

And to those of you with alts around the 70s, do these battlegrounds on those alts. You will get a very nice amount of honor, though less than an 80. However, you will be getting honor, and experience from the battlegrounds. A solid day of leveling via battlegrounds on my level 70 warlock would get me around 50,000 honor, and a few levels, plus, I love PvP as a warlock!

So grab your drinks, sit down, enjoy some PvP, and have fun pulling in all that gold. I love waking up sunday morning after a hard day's work playing WoW to a mailbox full of gold.

Dress for Success!

Time to put on your tuxedo set, and get ready to make some gold.

Anyone who wants to make lots of gold needs to have a good setup for doing so. This means getting a nice clean easy to use UI, and addons that will help you on your way to wealth.

The AddOns I use to enhance my gold making experience are as follows:

Postal - Allows you to get retrieve all of your mail with the click of a mouse.
Auctionator - Similar to Auctioneer, but with a few unique features that are nice to have.
Auctioneer - I use auctioneer for the majority of my auction house use, however auctioneer is very useful as it shows the item level of items, and the percentage (The percentage is to help you determine whether an item is overpriced or not) For example, if I scan the auction house for a week, and see netherweave cloth stacks for 20g each time I scan, 20g will be 100%, anything higher will be beyond that percentage, anything lower, a lower percentage.
Gatherer - Shows the location of all sorts of locations for gathering profession nodes.
GathererDB - Inputs this information into gatherer so it appears on your map.
Routes - Useful addon that relies on Gatherer or Gathermate, it creates a route between the nodes to show you your optimal farming route.

Here are the links to these addons:

All of these addons are fairly easy to setup, and you should be just fine doing it on your own. However if you have trouble plenty of videos are available to explain them on YouTube.
